Vauxhall Mokka Car Insurance
The Mokka was Vauxhall’s original small SUV. Now part of a wider range, it’s gained an X to differentiate it from the other cars in the company’s SUV range. The Mokka X has been a success with UK drivers and is now back in production with the second generation version of the model. We can help you compare quotes from some of the UK’s best car insurance companies for your Mokka, so visit us online at Quotezone.co.uk.
When was the Mokka discontinued?
Vauxhall ceased production of the first generation Mokka in 2019. Around 200,000 Mokkas were ordered overall in the UK, making it a successful model for Vauxhall. The second generation was debuted in 2020 with a starting price of just over £20,000. The 2021 model comes in a range of engine choices, petrol, diesel and pure-electric powertrains. That means you can purchase one of the first generation Mokkas as a used car or opt for a new model, straight off the production line.
Is it cheaper to insure an older Mokka?
If you decide on buying a second hand car, or you a renewing a quote on one of the first generation Mokkas, you might find that your car insurance is cheaper. Cars depreciate in value and over time the value of a car is considerably less than at the start of its life. This is because it will cost your insurance provider a smaller amount should the car be damaged or written off.
If you are buying a Mokka straight out of production, you will pay more because the vehicle has a higher market value.
What insurance group is the Vauxhall Mokka?
The Mokka X sits respectably between the very low insurance group 5, reaching group 18 at its peak. This means all the Mokka versions sit less than half way down the insurance groupings. Even if you opt for the most powerful engine choice and the highest trim, your insurance premium won’t break your heart. We can help you find the cheapest quote around, so visit us at Quotezone.co.uk.
Is the Mokka economical to run?
Looking at the first generation of Mokkas, 1.5 CDTi Whisper Diesel in front wheel drive form with a manual gearbox is the most economical version to drive. You will get 50.4 mpg and 127g/km emissions. The all new Mokka-E produces 0g/km emission, will run for 201 miles and will charge up to 80% in 30 mins. So, if you are looking at a low carbon footprint and an economical drive, this is your car.
How often should I service my Vauxhall Mokka?
Vauxhall recommend that you service your car every 20,000 miles or 12 months, whichever comes first. It is also recommended that you get a Full Service in years 2,4,6,8,10.
