M&S Energy
Marks and Spencer originally partnered with SSE to supply gas and electricity to domestic energy customers through its M&S Energy brand, but that partnership ended in 2018. M and S Energy customers are now supplied through Marks and Spencer’s partnership with Octopus Energy, a green energy supplier that the supermarket partnered with in September 2018.
Marks and Spencer Energy is committed to offering its domestic energy customers “simple, transparent prices every day”, and the supplier also offers new customers a free £20 e-gift card when they first sign up.
If you’re thinking of switching supplier and would like to find out which energy company might offer you the best deal why not use our energy price comparison service now? It’s free to use, and you’re under no obligation to switch.
Does Marks and Spencer Energy supply gas?
Similar to other small energy suppliers like Sainsbury’s Energy, Together Energy, Ovo Energy and Igloo Energy, M&S only supplies gas as part of a [dual fuel tariff(/energy/dual-fuel-tariffs), so you’d need to switch both your gas and electricity to M&S.
Alternatively, you can choose to have your electricity supplied by M and S Energy as a standalone supply, and then use a different gas supplier.
Does M and S Energy supply renewable electricity?
Yes, M&S Energy’s supply partner, Octopus Energy, is a green energy company that supplies 100% renewable electricity, so if your electricity is supplied by M&S it will from 100% renewable energy sources.
I’m currently with M and S Energy but I’d like to switch to another supplier – can Quotezone.co.uk help me to do that?
Yes, if you’re currently with M&S Energy but you’re thinking of switching to a different supplier then Quotezone.co.uk’s energy comparison service can help you to both compare tariffs and switch to a new supplier.
Does Marks and Spencer Energy charge exit fees?
Yes, if you’re on one of M&S Energy’s fixed rate tariffs you will incur an exit fee if you decide to switch to another supplier before the end of your contract period.
If you’re currently on M and S Energy’s variable tariff you won’t incur a fee when you switch to a different supplier.
I’m with a different energy supplier but I’d like to compare M&S Energy’s prices – can Quotezone.co.uk help me to do that?
Yes, Quotezone.co.uk’s energy comparison service can help you to compare energy prices from a wide range of suppliers, including M&S Energy, although with some suppliers you won’t be able to switch through our site.
Depending on the particular supplier you decide to move to you’ll either be able to switch online via Quotezone.co.uk or else contact the supplier directly to make the switch, but either way you’ll be able to use our comparison services to compare tariffs first.
Does M and S Energy supply business energy?
No, Marks and Spencer’s energy brand is focused on serving the domestic energy market, and as such the company does not supply business energy.
How much could I save on my domestic energy bills by switching to M&S Energy?
The exact amount you might save if you switched suppliers would be based on a range of different variables, including which supplier you’re currently with and the tariff you’re currently on, how much energy you usually use and whether you’re planning to switch one energy supply or two, so it’s difficult to predict how much you could save until you use our energy comparison service to compare suppliers and tariffs.
Does M&S Energy impose a standing charge?
Yes, as with most domestic energy suppliers in the UK, M&S Energy tariffs do carry a standing charge.
